I work with all kinds of problems, and some areas of particular interest include depression, anxiety, online dating, relationships, gender issues, career and questions of purpose, creative processes, and life transitions.
As a former TV writer and showrunner, I understand the power of stories - and the way stories craft reality, not the other way around. I was born outside of the US and raised in two countries and cultures. I am aware of the ways different cultural messages can collide and cause confusion, and am sensitive to experiences of outsiderness.
I have interests in postmodern, Narrative and Gestalt therapies, Feminism, and Buddhist approaches to psychology. I also have a regular mindfulness practice.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#114160). I have received training at Southern California Counseling Center, Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy, Recover Integrity (an intensive outpatient addiction program), and with adolescents and families at Family Service Agency of Burbank.

Sometimes we are blessed with being able to choose the time, and the arena, and the manner of our revolution, but more usually we must do battle where we are standing. - Audre Lorde
